Back to chickerinoDOTcom Written on 25-Oct-2008 by chickerinoThis delicious looking food-matter is a marinated grilled aubergine (egg plant for yo' yanks) that I had the other day in a Japanese conveyor-belt style sushi restaurant. Strangely it tasted exactly like fish and chips. I had to endulge in a number of portions! Nom nom nom!

oh my... does it not mean that the aubergine was cooked on the same pan and with the same oil as the fish and chips? because, from my deep knowledge of aubergine, it would be almost impossible to 'naturally' make them taste like that...

You know... you might have just been hallucinating (interesting idea for a restaurant BTW: let you think you're eating one thing when in fact you're eating another...) Anyway... did I have mushrooms for breakfast?
